How to Wash Your Vehicle at Snell Auto Wash

At first glance, all car washes may look the same from the road. It’s not until you pull your vehicle through a premier car wash that you may notice a few differences. Snell Auto Wash is a premier Express Car Wash, meaning it is a conveyorized tunnel car wash. This type of car wash pulls your vehicle along and does not require you to operate your vehicle once it’s set on the conveyor. We promise it’s not as confusing as it sounds! If you follow the instructional signage inside and the hand motions of our attendant, you’ll get the hang of it right away.
Here's a simple, step-by-step guide for going through our car wash.
Wash Tunnel Instructions
1. Pull up to one of our two pay stations.
2. Select one of the four exterior washes and pay with cash or with credit card. If you have a discount code, now is the time to enter that code to receive your discounted wash.
3. Once the arm raises, slowly enter the wash tunnel. Follow the attendant’s hand signals to know when to drive forward and when to stop. Use the large mirror on the ceiling to help properly align your driver’s side wheels along the conveyor tracks.
4. Once the attendant motions for you to stop, brake and place your vehicle in Neutral. Remove your foot from the brake and remove your hands from the steering wheel so the conveyor can pull you along without interference. There are also instructional signs in the entrance of the wash tunnel to guide you through this.
5. At this point, your vehicle will proceed through the wash, receiving the cleaning options chosen for your specific wash package, including: pre-rinse, wheel cleaning, tire scrubbing, paint conditioner application, application of water repellent, application of wax, spot-free rinse and automated drying.
6. After your car wash has finished, follow the green light and exit signs.

7. Complementary drying is available at your choice, weather permitting. An attendant will dry key areas of your vehicle, including windows, mirrors, and door jambs.
While the Auto Wash can wash most vehicles, keep the following in mind in case your vehicle exceeds these limitations or has certain added accessories.

Max. vehicle height: 7 feet, 2 inches (86 inches total)
Max. tire width: 14 inches
Max. vehicle offset: 88 inches (total vehicle width outside tire edge to outside tire edge)
Excluded from the Wash
These vehicles or vehicle accessories are not able to enter the wash:
- Duallys (trucks with dual rear wheels on both sides)
- High profile roof racks or spoilers
- Bike racks
- Vehicles with excessive rust
- Vehicles with excessive body damage
